As the year is coming to an end, I predict that the plant
and flower industry will grow dramatically in 2020. Throughout the year of
2019, there has been some natural disasters that have taken place. To start,
the California fires this year have destroyed 151,681 acres of forests. With these
fires, a lot of CO2 has been put into the atmosphere and is contributing to
climate change. The second natural disaster is the effect of climate change is
going to be irreversible very soon. Scientist are estimating that we only have
11 years to prevent irreversible damages from climate change. Lastly, the
amazon rain forest fires were a big natural disaster that took place this year.
The rain forest produces 12 percent of the worlds oxygen; for one place that is
a lot. With all of these natural disasters, people are becoming more
environmentally consciences and are trying to find ways to give back to the
environment. Just last week, 1.6 million people from 125 countries went on
strike to encourage their governments to fight against climate change. People
are showing that they are very serious about giving back the environment.
With all these bad things happening to the environment, people
want to find a way to help improve it. An easy way is to start planting plants.
It’s a small thing that people can do
but I feel that more and more people are going to start their own gardens in the
year 2020. That is why I believe that the plant and flower industry will grow
dramatically next year.
