One of the plants that I grew to love while working with
plants was the butterfly bush. The butterfly bush is a must have in anyone’s
garden or landscaping. Here are a couple of reasons as to why the butterfly
bush is so great.
To begin with, butterfly bushes bring a nice pop compared to
other plants. It’s rich, vibrant purple flowers that bloom in the summer and
fall bring a nice color variance. Unlike most plants that are only green, the
butterfly bush demands attention with its purple flowers.
Another reason why butterfly bushes are amazing is because they
attract non-other than butterflies! Their name is accurate because I’ve seen
four butterflies at once hanging around a bush. You may even be lucky to see some
humming birds getting nectar from the butterfly bush too.
Lastly, butterfly bushes are very easy to take care of. They
prefer full sun, which is 6 or more hours of direct sunlight. When first
planting them into the ground, make sure to water them regularly; every other
day should be just fine. After they have been established into the ground after
two weeks, you can let the natural rain water them or water them only twice a
week for now on. Also, when planting them, make sure to give them 3 to 4 feet
of room. Butterfly bushes are also perennial, so you don’t have to worry about
re-planting them every year. Overall, the butterfly bush is a 10/10 plant the I
would highly recommend in anyone’s garden. Hopefully this review of butterfly
bush helps you get a better understanding as to why they’re so great.
